The Company
Our client is a well-established organisation based in Essendon Fields, operating across two business entities. With a high-volume transactional finance function and a focus on continuous improvement, they offer a collaborative environment where finance professionals can make a genuine impact.
 
The Role
Reporting to the Executive Manager – Finance, this is a hands-on leadership role overseeing the accounts payable and receivable functions across two business entities. You’ll lead a team of five coordinators, act as the key escalation point for all transactional finance matters, and drive process improvement and automation initiatives across the function.
 
Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
  • Lead, coach and mentor a team of five AP and AR Coordinators
  • Review and approve monthly AP and AR reconciliations across all sub-ledger accounts in SAP
  • Provide regular reporting to the Finance Management Team including delinquent and ageing reports
  • Manage approvals for customer and supplier master data updates including credit limit changes
  • Prepare PTRS reports for both business entities; support month-end close and budgeting activities
  • Administer employee expense management systems
  • Identify and lead process improvement and automation initiatives across the transactional finance function
  • Handle escalated issues and support external audit processes
  • Other ad-hoc duties to support the team  
The Person
  • Proven experience in end-to-end AP and AR functions within a high-volume environment
  • Experience managing or supervising a finance support team
  • Strong ERP skills - SAP essential
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and strong attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; confident operating at a senior level
  • An analytical mindset with a genuine focus on continuous improvement and process automation
  • Experience navigating finance transformation projects is a plus
