A leading specialist in supporting clinical trial operations, this organisation provides end-to-end services including investigational medicinal product (IMP) manufacturing, packaging, labelling, warehousing and global distribution. They work with academic institutions, biotech innovators and global pharmaceutical clients, with a strong reputation for quality, reliability and scientific rigour.
Due to ongoing growth, the business is expanding its commercial team and is now seeking two Business Development Associates to help drive further expansion.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Business Development Associate, you will play a pivotal role in advancing new business opportunities and maintaining strong relationships with clients. Your responsibilities will include:
• Engaging with clients to interpret RFQs, understand project requirements and scope
• Developing comprehensive budgets, quotes and proposals for clinical trial services
• Drafting commercial agreements, change orders, CDAs, and managing internal approvals
• Liaising with internal stakeholders (operations, quality, logistics, projects) to ensure accuracy of costing and project parameters
• Managing the handover from sales to project teams as contracts are finalised
• Maintaining and progressing pipeline activity within CRM systems
• Representing the organisation at scientific or industry conferences when required
• Contributing to process improvements in the business development cycle
What We’re Looking For:
• Tertiary qualification in Life Sciences, Pharmaceutical Science, or a related field (a higher degree is a plus)
• 1-3 years of experience in budget or proposal preparation, ideally within a regulated or scientific environment
• Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Clinical Practice (GCP)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a high level of attention to detail
• Comfort with Microsoft Excel, Word and general commercial tools
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines and stakeholders
• A proactive, client-oriented mindset
