Our client is a well-established and growing supplier of premium food ingredients, seeking an experienced New Business Development Manager to drive sales growth across Australia's industrial food manufacturing sector.
This is a true hunter role, suited to a commercially focused sales professional who enjoys identifying opportunities, opening new doors and building long-term customer relationships.
You'll be responsible for developing new business opportunities across the industrial confectionery, bakery, dairy, ice cream, snacking and broader food manufacturing sectors, partnering with manufacturers to understand their commercial, manufacturing and product development requirements. Working collaboratively with internal technical and operations teams, you'll deliver tailored ingredient solutions that support both customer success and profitable business growth.

- Identify, develop and convert new business opportunities across Australia's food manufacturing sector.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, including Procurement, R&D, NPD, Operations and Manufacturing teams.
- Develop a deep understanding of customer manufacturing processes, commercial objectives and product development requirements.
- Present tailored ingredient solutions that deliver value and support customer innovation.
- Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting and lead generation through to negotiation, onboarding and ongoing account development.
- Work closely with technical, innovation and operations teams to ensure successful solution delivery.
- Maintain an active sales pipeline, forecasting and CRM reporting.
- Monitor industry trends, competitor activity and emerging market opportunities.
- Represent the business professionally at customer meetings, industry events and trade exhibitions.
You are a driven business development professional with a proven track record of winning new business and developing long-term commercial partnerships.
To be successful, you will bring:
- Demonstrated success in Business Development, Sales or Account Management within food ingredients, food manufacturing or FMCG.
- Experience selling into food manufacturers across sectors such as confectionery, bakery, dairy, ice cream, snacking or related industries.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to identify opportunities and negotiate successful outcomes.
- Confidence engaging with stakeholders across Procurement, Technical, R&D, NPD and Manufacturing.
- Excellent communication, presentation and relationship-building skills.
- A proactive, self-motivated approach with a passion for identifying and securing new business opportunities.
- The ability to travel throughout Australia as required.
