A growing technical solutions business based in Melbourne’s South East is seeking its first dedicated Business Development Manager to support the next phase of growth.

This is a rare opportunity to join a small but expanding organisation where you will have genuine autonomy, influence, and the chance to shape the sales function from the ground up. Working closely with the Managing Director, you will play a key role in strengthening existing client relationships while driving new business opportunities.

About the Role:
• Manage and grow a portfolio of established key accounts
• Follow up inbound leads and convert new opportunities
• Proactively identify and develop new business across targeted industries
• Work closely with the Managing Director on strategy, forecasting and growth plans
• Represent the business externally, with regular client visits and travel required
• Operate with a high level of autonomy while contributing to a collaborative, hands-on team environment

About You:
• Background in engineering or technical solutions, with strong commercial awareness
• Proven experience in B2B sales or business development
• Technically minded and comfortable discussing complex products or solutions
• Confident managing both existing accounts and new business development
• Self-motivated, professional and comfortable being the “go-to” sales lead in a small business
• Willingness to travel as part of the role

What’s on Offer:
• Salary $100,000 - $120,000 + Super + Commission
• Permanent, full-time position
