The Role
Based in Melbourne’s Inner North, our client is seeking a Credit Controller & Admin Officer to join their Finance Team. Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, this is a split role spending approximately three days per week on credit control and AR, and two days on broader administrative functions. It’s a hands-on, varied position suited to someone who enjoys both numbers and keeping operations running smoothly.

The Role
Based in Melbourne’s Inner North, our client is seeking a Credit Controller & Admin Officer to join their Finance Team. Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, this is a split role spending approximately three days per week on credit control and AR, and two days on broader administrative functions. It’s a hands-on, varied position suited to someone who enjoys both numbers and keeping operations running smoothly.
Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- Daily receipting and customer account maintenance – Australia & New Zealand
- Review and approval of purchase orders and dispatch requests
- Intercompany invoicing, monthly reconciliation and EOM debtor balancing
- NZ credit applications, PPSR registrations and Equifax monitoring
- Weekly debt collection follow-up and credit limit management
- Payroll administration in liaison with outsourced provider; employee lifecycle management
- Corporate insurance renewals, workers’ comp claims and fleet/facility contract management
- Support the finance team with invoice processing, vendor reconciliation and audit documentation
- Other ad-hoc duties to support the team
The Person
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance or a related field
- 5+ years’ experience in a similar role, ideally within a multi-entity environment
- Solid hands-on experience in credit control and day-to-day AR management
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and experience with a major ERP system (D365 advantageous)
- Comfortable managing administrative duties alongside a finance workload
- Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
