We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established national manufacturing business located in Rokeby, Tasmania. About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join the customer service and internal sales team. You will be the first point of contact for customers, managing enquiries, processing orders, and supporting the sales and production teams to ensure a seamless customer experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately process customer orders and input data into internal systems
- Follow up on quotes and pending orders to convert them into sales
- Provide expert product knowledge and respond to customer queries via phone and email
- Coordinate with production and dispatch teams to meet delivery timelines
- Communicate delays and resolve any order-related issues
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships
- Handle queries, complaints, and customer returns professionally
- Support general office administration
- Liaise with external providers for outsourced orders
- Assist the Sales Manager with customer engagement and new business development
- Conduct care calls to ensure customer satisfaction
- A genuine passion for helping customers
- Strong empathy and professionalism in all interactions
- Proactive problem-solving approach and ability to take initiative
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment (advantageous)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Confidence in using MS Office and order management systems
- Technical aptitude or previous exposure to similar industry products is a bonus
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a high-volume environment
