This fully Australian owned engineering and manufacturing business is expanding, and is now seeking a Finance Manager to report to the CFO and be responsible for implementing and refining financial reporting frameworks across the group. This role will be based 5 days per week in the office, in the outer Eastern Suburbs.
Your Role:
This role will lead the charge on improving financial processes and driving timely, accurate, and insightful reporting. You’ll play a vital role as a finance partner to stakeholders across operations and commercial teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead monthly financial reporting, including P&L, Balance Sheet, and detailed variance analysis
- Design and manage financial reporting timetables across daily, weekly, and monthly cycles
- Enhance and implement month-end and year-end reporting packs aligned with group requirements
- Ensure accuracy of journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and GL integrity
- Deliver data-driven insights for tax compliance, audit, and statutory reporting
- Establish and manage a full inventory stock take
- Manage fringe benefits tax submissions and land tax obligations
- Manage the R&D grant application processes
About You:
You’re a qualified CA/CPA with solid post-qualification experience, ideally within a manufacturing or inventory-heavy environment. You’re confident navigating ERP systems, juggling multiple priorities, and you bring a strong commercial mindset to your work.
You’ll also bring:
Advanced Excel and ERP system proficiency
Strong analytical thinking and a hands-on approach to problem solving
Excellent communication skills with the confidence to engage across all levels
A proactive, team-focused attitude and an eye for continuous improvement
