Our client is a global air and sea logistics company that provides international freight forwarding solutions, particularly specialising in the aerospace and healthcare industries for over forty years
ABOUT THE ROLE
In this dual role position, you'll be directly responsible for transporting pallets with a heavy combination vehicle as well as supporting the warehouse through general storeperson duties when required. The role focuses on local Sydney metro deliveries while contributing to warehouse operations during non-driving periods.
DUTIES
• Operate HC and rigid vehicles for local Sydney metro deliveries, ensuring safe loading, transport, and unloading of freight
• Complete pre-start checks, maintain compliance with NSW road regulations, fatigue management, and Chain of Responsibility
• Accurately complete delivery documentation, manifests, and represent the company professionally at customer sites
• Support warehouse operations during non-driving periods, including receipting, dispatch, forklift operation, and maintaining WHS standards
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
• Current HC (Heavy Combination) Licence, valid LF Forklift Licence and experience operating semi-trailers or rigid vehicles (essential)
• Prior experience in transport, freight forwarding, logistics environments (highly regarded)
• Strong understanding of load restraints, Chain of Responsibility, and road transport compliance
• To be physically capable and reliable to with minimal supervision whilst displaying a mature approach and good communication skills
