Our client is seeking a hands-on, operational HR Manager to join their team during a period of exciting transformation, including an office relocation and a renewed focus on safety, engagement, and learning. Working full time or 4 days per week, this is a rare opportunity to make a genuine impact, working closely with both local and global leadership while supporting a diverse workforce.

About the Role
As the HR Manager, you’ll be a true generalist, responsible for the full spectrum of HR and payroll activities. You’ll play a key role in uplifting employee engagement, driving learning and development initiatives, and strengthening workplace safety. Your day-to-day will include:

• Leading operational HR, including recruitment, onboarding, ER/IR case management, and compliance
• Championing OHS and safety training, with a focus on continuous improvement
• Coaching and supporting managers on employee matters
• Overseeing the payroll function (alongside the Payroll Officer) and HR systems (SuccessFactors & Micropay)
• Supporting communication of positive change and business transformation
• Supporting group learning workshops and digital learning initiatives

• Proven experience in operational HR management, ideally in manufacturing or a similar setting
• Must have a strong OHS and safety training expertise
• A track record of uplifting employee engagement and driving learning & development
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the confidence to coach and guide managers
• A practical, down-to-earth approach to building relationships
• Willingness to get involved in everything from strategy to BBQs and team event
