ABOUT THE ROLE
An exciting role for an aspiring Sales Executive to join a global team as a trainee. This role is suited to a current forwarder who is looking to make the transition into sales. All training will be provided along with the tools required to succeed (phone, laptop, fuel card, car allowance). The commission is paid monthly on secured cargo. A drive for self-motivation to succeed is essential. The ability to pick up the phone is the key!

DUTIES
• Develop and nurture warm and cold leads within freight forwarding (wholesale & retail)
• Grow and nurture developed pipelines to develop relationships
• Constantly secure new client meetings with prospective new business
• Ensure all quotes, costing and tender requests are actioned promptly
• Provide weekly status updates and pipeline reporting to management

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
• Previous experience working in either Operations or Customer Service in Forwarding
• Demonstrate strong industry knowledge within both the shipping and airline space
• Demonstrate the ability to generate leads and secure meetings with prospective clients (wholesale & retail)
• Professional approach towards solution selling both inbound and outbound services
• Drive to improve continually by demonstrating a proactive mindset
