We're partnering with a large, highly regarded organisation to recruit an experienced Lead WorkCover Payroll Specialist to join their central Payroll & HR Services team.

This is a fantastic opportunity to lead a team of specialists, drive best practice and become the go-to expert for all WorkCover payroll matters across a complex organisation.

The Opportunity
As the leader of the WorkCover Payroll team, you'll be responsible for ensuring accurate and compliant WorkCover payroll processing while mentoring a high-performing team. You'll also take ownership of a complex project involving financial reconciliations and final payments, making this a varied and rewarding leadership role.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Lead, mentor and develop a team of WorkCover Payroll Specialists.
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of all WorkCover payroll payments.
  • Drive compliance with Victorian Workers Compensation legislation, Awards and EBAs.
  • Review and improve payroll processes, controls and best practice.
  • Manage a complex project involving final payments and reconciliations.
  • Act as the subject matter expert, providing advice and guidance across the business on WorkCover payroll matters.

About You
You'll already have experience managing WorkCover remuneration and understand the legislative, compliance and reporting requirements that come with it.

You may already be leading a team, or perhaps you're an experienced Senior or 2IC ready to take the next step into leadership.

To be successful you'll bring:
  • Demonstrated experience managing WorkCover payroll and remuneration.
  • Strong knowledge of Victorian Workers Compensation legislation.
  • Payroll experience within a large, complex organisation.
  • The ability to interpret Awards and EBAs.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • SAP experience will be highly regarded.
