We have partnered with a leading manufacturer of HVAC solutions with operations across Australia, Europe, Asia and the Northern Americas regions.

Their Australian arm currently requires the skills of a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their Product Development Team. The Successful Candidate will play a key role in creating detailed designs, supporting prototype testing, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.

This role is well-suited to someone with strong practical skills in Autodesk Inventor and Vault, and a sound knowledge of HVAC/R systems.

• Produce 3D models and 2D drawings using Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD
• Develop and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) in Autodesk Vault PDM
• Contribute to the design, testing, and refinement of prototypes
• Perform engineering calculations, including thermodynamic and heat transfer analysis
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and controls teams to deliver high-quality outcomes
• Support project and team objectives as required

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
• 1–3 years’ experience in mechanical design
• Proficiency with Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD, and Vault PDM
• Knowledge of HVAC/R systems and applicable standards (AS/NZS, ANSI/ASTM)
• Familiarity with FEA, CFD, and heat exchanger design tools (PV Elite, HTRI)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Innovative and practical problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work proactively and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
