The Role

Based at the Adelaide branch and reporting to the Area Manager, this is a hands-on role maintaining, servicing, and repairing mechanical rental equipment—with a focus on diesel generators, compressed air, and temperature control systems.

You will work independently both on-site and, in the workshop, responsible for keeping critical equipment running at peak performance. Whether you’re performing routine servicing or attending urgent breakdowns, your mechanical skills and customer focus will be valued and rewarded.

Key Responsibilities

• Servicing, maintaining, and repairing diesel-powered generators and associated equipment
• Fault-finding, diagnostics, and troubleshooting mechanical issues
• Installing and commissioning rental generator and temperature control equipment on customer sites
• Preparing equipment for dispatch including inspections, documentation, and loading/unloading
• Completing detailed service reports, ordering parts, and contributing to stock management
• Maintaining compliance with workplace safety and driving a positive safety culture
• Assisting with minor overhauls, welding, painting, and general fleet maintenance as required
• Collaborating with team members to improve processes and operational efficiency

Hours

Full-time permanent role | Monday to Friday | Overtime available | Travel to client sites required

Key Requirements

• Mechanical trade qualification – Fitter or Diesel (Australian recognised)
• Experience working with diesel-powered generators or similar mechanical equipment
• Current Australian driver’s licence
• Forklift licence (desirable)
• Strong mechanical aptitude and diagnostic skills
• Competent with basic computer systems and record keeping
• Self-motivated, reliable, and able to work autonomously
• Strong communication skills and professional approach with customers
