ABOUT THE ROLE
The Operations Leader is a senior hands-on leadership role responsible for managing daily plant operations, workforce planning, and customer scheduling to ensure efficient and high-quality service delivery. You’ll play a key role in driving team performance, developing staff capability, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives within a fast-paced operational environment.

DUTIES
• Lead and coordinate daily plant operations, including scheduling, workforce planning, product movement, and processing to meet operational and customer service targets.
• Reporting to the Operations Manager, providing leadership support, operational oversight, and continuity across safety, compliance, and production performance.
• Supervise, coach, and develop operational teams through training, rostering, performance management, and fostering a high-performing team culture.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across operational efficiency, quality, maintenance, compliance, and incident management to ensure safe and effective service delivery.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE 
• Proven leadership experience within manufacturing, healthcare, pharmaceutical, medical device, or other highly regulated operational environments.
• Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and organisational skills, with the ability to manage fast-paced operations, workforce planning, and compliance requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop teams, with excellent communication, stakeholder management, and conflict resolution skills.
• Relevant operational or technical qualifications, current Driver’s Licence, Forklift licence (or willingness to obtain), and a strong commitment to safety, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
