ABOUT THE ROLE
As the Operations Manager - Victoria, you will take full ownership of operational performance in the Altona depot, leading the transport, staging, and distribution functions to ensure service excellence, efficiency, and commercial growth. This role is both strategic and hands-on, overseeing and driving day-to-day operational execution, continuous improvement initiatives and compliance. This is a pivotal leadership position for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and is motivated by lifting standards, building capability and delivering outstanding service outcomes.
DUTIES
• Lead and mentor operations managers across various locations
• Analyse and identify process improvement initiatives
• Oversee performance including P/L, labour and operational strategies
• Analyse, update and adopt strong SOP across the warehouse and transport
• Full WHS and CoR responsibility
• Onboarding of new clients along with account management of existing major clients
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
• 3+ years demonstrated state based Operations/Warehouse Management
• Proven experience in analysing SOP efficiency and productivity through process improvement initiatives
• Experience with managing/costing/budgeting for staff based on workloads
• Strong exposure to the Victorian transport industry
• Proven exposure to and managing P&L's on a national scale
