ABOUT THE ROLE
Be a part of a small Payroll team to assist with the fortnightly and monthly processing for approximately 300 staff across Australia and New Zealand.  
 
DUTIES
  • Oversee employee payroll accounting, transactions, and reporting activities
  • Ensure that payroll is processed accurately and in a timely manner
  • Process all payroll calculations, deductions, Superannuation payments, insurance coverage, wage garnishments, tax filings, and child support
  • Maintain employee payroll records, ensuring they are up-to-date and accurate
  • Interpret and provide advice to staff on salaries and related entitlements, leave, and general conditions of service
  • Investigate and provide advice relating to the interpretation and application of legislation, policies, procedures, and guidelines
  • Identify obsolete and inefficient practices and recommend changes where appropriate
  • Ensure the confidentiality of the payroll files and system at all times
  • Assist with the implementation and management of payroll projects when required
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
  • 3 years’ experience in payroll
  • Strong attention to detail and ethical standards
  • Excellent communication and consulting skills
  • Experience with Payroll Metrics, Kronos, and Workday (preferred)
  • Intermediate Excel skills
  • A willingness to learn and grow
