The Role
 
As the People & Culture Business Partner you will support the P&C Manager by providing practical and strategic HR advice to help managers lead their teams, manage change, and achieve business goals. You will also assist with general HR tasks at the state level.
 
Key responsibilities include:
 

  • Provide expert HR advice to promote policy compliance, mitigate risk, and support business objectives
  • Partner with leaders to deliver P&C initiatives and guide decision-making on complex people matters
  • Support change management and industrial relations, including union negotiations and enterprise agreement interpretation
  • Manage employee relations issues, conduct investigations, and support performance and conduct processes
  • Act as Workday system lead—support users, resolve issues, and maintain data accuracy
  • Respond to HR queries and partner with managers to deliver practical, business-aligned HR solutions
  • Draft employment documentation and contribute to reporting, analytics, and continuous improvement
  • Identify training needs, support content development, and help deliver learning initiatives
  • Coordinate end-to-end recruitment and onboarding processes, ensuring compliance and candidate experience
  • Support diversity and inclusion efforts and manage relationships with recruitment and training partners
  • Supervise P&C Coordinators and contribute to broader HR projects and initiatives
  • Follow HSE policies, report risks/incidents, participate in safety and wellness initiatives, and promote a positive workplace culture
  • Uphold and encourage compliance with the company’s Code of Ethics
 
The Person
 
You will come with a Tertiary qualification in HR, IR, Psychology or Business-related discipline. Proven strong knowledge of HR principles and employment legislation, with extensive experience managing end-to-end recruitment, including bulk hiring and open days. You will quickly adapt to new talent systems and processes including working knowledge of Workday. With resilience and a strong work ethic you will be comfortable dealing with diverse audiences.
