About the Opportunity
Our client is seeking an experienced People & Culture Manager to lead the Australian HR function, working in close partnership with colleagues in New Zealand. This is a unique opportunity to shape and deliver people and culture strategies at a national level, while playing a pivotal role in fostering a unified, high-performing, and values-driven culture across both countries.

About the Role

  • Provide strategic leadership for the Australian HR function, ensuring alignment and consistency with New Zealand operations.
  • Act as a connector, building strong relationships and trusted partnerships across all levels and locations within the organisation.
  • Drive a culture transformation agenda, championing the shift towards a high-performance, values-led environment.
  • Establish and enhance robust frameworks and processes to ensure compliance and support sustainable growth.
  • Collaborate closely with New Zealand counterparts - while you’ll have autonomy to lead initiatives in Australia, there’s a strong focus on working together to create a cohesive, “one team” approach.
  • Oversee all core HR functions, including employee relations, talent management, performance development, and organisational change.
  • Mentor and develop a high-performing People & Culture team, supporting their professional growth and recognising achievements.
  • Champion health, safety, and wellbeing initiatives, ensuring compliance and a safe, supportive work environment.
About You
  • Proven experience in a Senior People & Culture leadership role, ideally within a complex, multi-site environment.
  • Exceptional relationship-building and communication skills - you are a natural connector who thrives on collaboration.
  • Demonstrated experience in a values-driven organisation, with high energy and a nurturing, hands-on approach to building an inclusive and supportive workplace culture.
  • Experience working with a high-volume operational workforce is highly regarded.
  • Strong knowledge of industrial relations, enterprise bargaining, and employment legislation.
  • A track record of driving organisational culture, employee engagement, and high performance.
About the Company
Our client is a well-established and respected organisation, recognised for their commitment to operational excellence and people-centred values. They offer a supportive and collaborative environment where your leadership and ability to connect teams will be highly valued.
