The Role

This is a 3-month casual hands-on role supporting all phases of the product development lifecycle, working closely with engineers, project managers, and suppliers. Reporting to the Procurement Manager, you’ll be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and managing procurement for complex, highly technical projects with a focus on both local and international suppliers.

The role requires a proactive approach to supplier management, ensuring favourable terms, timely deliveries, and compliance with international quality standards. You’ll play a critical part in delivering parts for Alpha, Beta, and PPU prototype builds, supporting both procurement process improvement and logistics management across a wide range of exciting innovation projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Supplier sourcing, onboarding, negotiation, and relationship management
• Procurement of components for prototype builds, ensuring project timelines are met
• Management of supplier agreements, NDAs, and tooling contracts
• Raising and processing purchase orders; reconciling invoices with Finance
• Data maintenance for pricing and part information within procurement systems
• Ensuring compliance with ROHS, REACH, ISO9001, ISO13485, and FDA QSR standards
• Supporting international freight and logistics for prototype and production deliveries
• Collaborating with internal teams to drive procurement process improvement
• Experience with international purchasing and Tariff/ Tax experience would be beneficial.

Hours

Full-time | Possible flexible hybrid working once trained (managers discretion)

Key Requirements

• Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in a similar procurement or sourcing role
• Proven experience purchasing from local and overseas suppliers
• High-level understanding of financial systems concepts and processes
• Strong questioning techniques with the ability to obtain and verify detailed information
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to build strong professional relationships
• Familiarity with ISO9001, ISO13485, FDA QSR, and adherence to OH&S requirements
• Experience using procurement systems (MS Dynamics 365 or SAP highly desirable)
• Beneficial: Experience with low to medium volume, short lead time procurement
• Beneficial: Experience with regulated industry procurement and project-based sourcing
