ABOUT THE COMPANY
As a global business with offices across the eastern seaboard and the Melbourne team based in Tullamarine, our client delivers real-time status updates and reports, ensuring clear and detailed shipment transparency.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Our client wants to add an experienced Senior Import Operator to their Melbourne team. With a focus on Ocean (supporting Air), the position will be responsible for all operations, including dealing with customers, costing, invoicing and transport. Experience managing all aspects of Import operations within freight forwarding is imperative.
DUTIES
• Coordinate and monitor order management from origin through to POD/Invoicing
• Become the single point of contact for clients
• Ensure SOPs are implemented and followed by internal and external stakeholders
• Ability to work with CW1 in a paperless environment
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
• 5+ years in an Import Operations position within a freight forwarder
• Exposure to operating on CW1
• Demonstrated ability to create, quote, cost, invoice, and provide status updates
• Previous experience working closely with customers, building relationships is ideal
