Our client is Australia's leader in licensing, production and distribution of film-related products. Working with global distributors to deliver quality products both to a range of Australia's best-known retailers and directly to the public.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The position of Senior Inventory Controller, reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, will be solely responsible for the full production and inventory process for this global licensing and product development specialist. Working with a small team, the position is hands-on with all aspects of the inventory process. The position will suit an experienced inventory specialist with previous experience in a small business handling both B2B and B2C. The successful candidate will be comfortable with a balance of responsibilities and able to be hands-on when required. The position offers scope for short-term progression into a leadership role with the right person.
DUTIES
• P/O Management: Raise purchase orders and collaborate with the production team on upcoming projects while making product recommendations.
• Data Analysis & Reporting: Generate and analyse weekly and monthly inventory reports using Claude, track trends, identify risks, and plan promotions with vendors.
• Warehouse Support: Oversee warehouse staffing and resource allocation, continuously improving processes and supporting system enhancements.
• Freight Coordination: Serve as the first point of contact for freight delays, coordinating suppliers to ensure the timely delivery of promotional materials
• Finance Collaboration: Work with the Finance Manager to project workloads and volumes effectively.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
• Proficient in data analysis, particularly in inventory management systems (Cin7, Shopify) and Claude AI
• Ability to multitask and manage various responsibilities effectively.
• Proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvements.
• Previous experience in a small business managing end-to-end processes.
• Demonstrated forecasting and planning of complex campaigns and deadlines
