Ready to hit the ground running?

We're partnering with a well-established national organisation seeking an experienced Senior Payroll Specialist to join their payroll team on an immediate-start, 2-month contract.

Working closely with an experienced Payroll Lead and alongside a small, collaborative national payroll team, you'll play a key role in ensuring payroll accuracy, compliance and process efficiency during a busy period.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys getting into the detail, identifying improvements, and providing support on more complex payroll matters while working within a genuinely supportive team environment.

What you'll be doing:
  • Running and analysing payroll variance reports
  • Completing payroll reconciliations and resolving discrepancies
  • Assisting with complex payroll queries and escalations
  • Reviewing payroll data for accuracy and compliance
  • Providing recommendations around payroll best practice and process improvements
  • Supporting payroll processing within an outsourced ADP environment
  • Maintaining employee payroll records and data integrity
  • Assisting with payroll adjustments, terminations and leave calculations
  • Working closely with internal stakeholders to resolve payroll-related matters
  • Assisting the Payroll Lead with BAU payroll activities as required
About You

You'll be a confident payroll professional who enjoys working autonomously while remaining a strong team player. You're naturally curious, have a keen eye for detail, and aren't afraid to investigate issues to ensure the right outcome is achieved.

To be successful, you'll ideally bring:
  • Previous experience in a Senior Payroll Officer or Payroll Specialist capacity
  • Strong end-to-end payroll knowledge
  • Experience working with outsourced payroll models
  • Exposure to ADP payroll systems would be ideal
  • Advanced reconciliation and analytical skills
  • Sound understanding of payroll legislation and compliance requirements
  • Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused approach
  • The ability to hit the ground running with minimal supervision
What's on offer?
  • Immediate start opportunity
  • 2-month contract with potential for extension
  • Braeside location with onsite parking
  • Supportive Payroll Lead and close-knit team environment
  • Opportunity to add value and contribute to process improvement initiatives
  • Work for a recognised national organisation
If you're an experienced payroll professional available immediately and looking for your next contract opportunity, we'd love to hear from you.
