The Opportunity
Are you a seasoned HR professional with a sharp eye for detail, a passion for compliance, and the ability to influence and lead across diverse teams? This role offers the chance to make a meaningful contribution to a high-performing, values-driven workforce through strategic thinking and operational excellence.

As a Senior People & Culture Business Partner, you’ll thrive in a generalist capacity - balancing day-to-day delivery with forward-thinking initiatives. You’ll bring depth across a broad range of people and culture priorities, partnering with leaders to deliver practical, people-focused solutions while contributing to projects that enhance organisational capability and culture.

The Benefits

  • Flexible working arrangements and hybrid options based in Lilydale or Mansfield.
  • A purpose-led team culture focused on collaboration and impact.
  • Opportunities to shape meaningful, people-first initiatives.
  • Real influence in building leadership capability and shaping organisational culture.
About the Role
Reporting to the Head of People & Culture, this role offers broad scope across the employee lifecycle and the opportunity to shape culture and capability across a dynamic workforce. You’ll work closely with leaders to deliver practical, people-focused, and compliant solutions, while also contributing to strategic initiatives that drive organisational growth and wellbeing.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Provide expert advice on employee and industrial relations, including enterprise agreement interpretation and case management.
  • Lead the development, review, and implementation of HR policies and ensure compliance with relevant legislation and frameworks.
  • Support end-to-end recruitment, onboarding, and performance development processes.
  • Champion wellbeing, safety, and change initiatives that enhance employee experience and organisational resilience.
  • Coach and support leaders to build capability, confidence, and consistency in people management.
  • Lead and develop a small team of HR generalists, fostering growth and high performance.
  • Represent the organisation in external forums, networks, or regulatory matters as required.
About You
You bring a thoughtful, solutions-focused approach to your work, with the ability to adapt across varied contexts and stakeholders. You’re confident navigating complex ER/IR matters, and you understand the importance of compliance, leadership, and culture in driving organisational success.
You’ll also bring:
  • Extensive experience in senior HR or People & Culture roles, ideally within multi-site or seasonal environments.
  • Deep expertise in employee relations, industrial relations, policy development, and compliance.
  • Familiarity with the Victorian Public Sector (VPS) or similar regulatory environments.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills with a proven ability to influence and build trust across all levels.
  • A collaborative mindset and a commitment to delivering best-practice HR solutions.
  • Solid understanding of compliance frameworks, enterprise agreements, and policy interpretation.
  • Demonstrated leadership capability and strategic thinking.
  • A current Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain).
  • Flexibility to travel and engage meaningfully with regional teams.
About the Organisation
Our client is a purpose-led team with a strong connection to community and place. Our clients' workforce adapts seasonally, reflecting the dynamic environments they support. They are committed to fostering an inclusive, safe, and engaging experience for both their people and the communities they serve - where collaboration, wellbeing, and continuous improvement are at the heart of everything they do.
