One of Australia's leading manufacturers in the building and infrastructure industry is currently seeking an experienced Site / Commercial Accountant to work with a close-knit and high performing Finance team.
Located in Braeside, this is a key role where you will be supporting and working closely with the Financial Controller.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, your responsibilities include:
- Manage site budgeting and forecasting, including variance analysis
- Maintain accurate standard costing and validate BOMs
- Analyse run times and production routes to identify cost and efficiency improvements
- Provide financial and operational analysis to support decision-making
- Partner with operations to improve cost control and site performance
- Prepare management reports, KPIs, and performance insights
- Support month-end close and ensure compliance with controls and policies
- Assist the Financial Controller with reporting, planning, and ad hoc analysis
- Support manufacturing site leadership through data-driven insights.
- Provide detailed analysis on the costing of manufactured products.
- Deliver commentary on manufacturing recoveries against budgets
Your Skills:
- Proven experience in a manufacturing or site-based accounting role, with strong exposure to costing and operational finance
- Solid understanding of standard costing, BOMs, and production processes
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret run times, routing data, and variances to drive insights
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting in a fast-paced environment
- Confident partnering with operations and non-finance stakeholders to influence performance outcomes
- Advanced Excel/data analysis skills (experience with ERP systems highly regarded)
- High attention to detail with a focus on accuracy, controls, and continuous improvement
- Proactive, commercially minded, and able to support and collaborate with the Financial Controller
