Site Safety Partner

We are seeking a passionate, hands-on and driven WHS/OHS professional to join a successful chocolate manufacturer that keeps going from strength to strength.

The Successful Candidate will bring substantial relevant experience in a food manufacturing environment backed by relevant qualifications. Key requirements of the role include hazard identification, risk management, and incident investigation.

The Successful Candidate will champion a proactive safety culture across production, maintenance, and warehousing.

Exposure to developing and managing Safety or Environmental Management Systems will be highly regarded.

Travel between sites or future project locations may occasionally be required depending on business needs.
 
Key responsibilities:
  • Partner with operational leaders to drive safety performance
  • Conduct workplace inspections and risk assessments
  • Lead incident investigations and corrective actions
  • Support contractor management and permit systems
  • Deliver toolbox talks and safety coaching
  • Maintain safety systems and records through DoneSafe
  • Assist with audits, emergency preparedness and compliance activities
  • Support major projects, shutdowns and continuous improvement initiatives
The Successful candidate will possess:
  • 3+ years WHS experience in manufacturing, FMCG or warehousing
  • Certificate IV, Diploma or Degree in WHS/OHS
  • Strong knowledge of Victorian WHS legislation
  • Experience conducting incident investigations and risk assessments
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Able to build strong relationships from the factory floor through to senior leadership
