About the Opportunity

We are seeking a capable and commercially minded Supply Chain Specialist to join a global specialist packaging company. This role offers a unique 12-month development pathway into a Supply Chain Manager & Customer Service position, providing strong career progression for the right individual.
This is a broad, hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working across the full supply chain, from demand planning through to customer engagement and logistics coordination.

Key Responsibilities
 
Supply Chain Operations:
  • Manage demand planning and forecasting activities
  • Raise and manage purchase orders
  • Oversee inventory levels and raw material coverage
  • Produce regular reports to support supply chain performance
Demand Planning & Customer Engagement:
  • Engage directly with customers to understand demand requirements
  • Translate forecasts into actionable supply plans
  • Gain customer alignment and approval on supply requirements
  • Maintain a strong focus on customer service and experience
Logistics & Coordination:
  • Place orders with manufacturing plants and manage order flow
  • Track shipments end-to-end to ensure on-time delivery
  • Liaise with freight forwarders and logistics providers
  • Monitor both international and local logistics activities
Operational Improvement:
  • Strengthen alignment between supply chain and manufacturing plants
  • Ensure accurate raw material coverage based on forecasts
  • Contribute to process optimisation and continuous improvement initiatives
About You

You will ideally have exposure across multiple areas of the supply chain, rather than a highly specialised background.

Key Requirements:
  • Experience across supply chain, procurement, or logistics
  • Exposure to demand planning and forecasting processes
  • Experience with importing and international logistics
  • Understanding of freight forwarding and supply chain documentation
  • Ability to interpret customer demand and translate it into supply requirements
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
