Our client is an Australian owned organisation specialising in developing products for bio-pharmaceutical and biotechnology applications.

Due to significant growth, they require a self-motivated, enthusiastic and dedicated individual to fulfil the role of Technical Support Officer, reporting directly to the CEO.

This position will contribute towards and be responsible for a range of administration tasks that involve work of a scientific / technical nature. Ideally, the Successful Candidate will have a scientific background – Ideally chemistry.

This position will start on a part-time basis – 30 hours per week that will be spread over the working week, Monday to Friday.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Managing the communication and schedule of the CEO
  • Producing reports and presentations
  • Preparing and coordinating meetings including minute taking
  • Handling correspondence and sensitive documents
  • Management of Research Service Agreements
  • Contract management (e.g., research services and confidentially agreements)
  • Grant development and application preparation and submission
  • Marketing and external engagement activities
  • Responding to email enquiries
  • General office and administration tasks
  • Coordinating travel arrangements when required
  • Assisting the Office Manager when required
 
Skills & Experience:
  • Tertiary qualifications in Science – ideally in Chemistry
  • Previous experience within a similar position
  • Flexible attitude to adapt to changing priorities and a fast-paced environment
  • Resilience to deal with deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • A very organised approach with strong attention to detail (essential)
  • Ability to perform directed tasks accurately, quickly and attentively
  • Prior office management or administrative experience
