ABOUT THE ROLE
Our client is looking for a motivated and experienced freight forwarding professional to join their Transport team. In this role, you’ll manage transport movements end-to-end, ensuring jobs run smoothly, on time, and in line with customer requirements. Success in this position calls for strong communication skills, sharp attention to detail, and the ability to stay organised while handling multiple tasks in a busy transport and freight environment.
DUTIES
• Coordinate all wharf cartage and local/interstate transport for import freight, including FCL, LCL, and airfreight.
• Prepare and manage transport documentation and use internal systems to track and control workflow.
• Liaise with carriers, internal teams, and clients to ensure smooth communication and timely pickups/deliveries.
• Handle issues promptly and manage AQIS/Quarantine requirements such as fumigation, tailgates, CCV and IFIP inspections.
• Work with customs and import operations on clearances, EDOs, and required reporting for national customers.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
• 5+ years experience in transport/cartage operations (FCL, LCL, airfreight) with working knowledge of Cargowise
• Strong attention to detail and able to juggle multiple tasks
• Clear and confident communication with clients, carriers and internal teams
• Able to solve problems quickly and work independently
• Good time-management skills in a busy environment
