ABOUT THE ROLE
Our client wants to add an experienced Transport Operations Manager to their busy Port of Brisbane location. The department works closely with stakeholders to deliver wharf cartage solutions to a range of stakeholders. The position leads a team of 50 including Transport Coordinators, Allocators and Drivers to provide container transport solutions across Brisbane. The ideal candidate will have experience leading a wharf transport team, driving process and culture change.

DUTIES
• Manage a team across drivers, allocations and operations
• Maintain, update and ensure KPI's per team/stakeholder requirements 
• First escalation point for staff with department issues 
• Identify and implement process improvement and change initiatives
• Ensure budgets and KPI's are met 

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE 
• Extensive experience in wharf transport
• Demonstrated experience leading and mentoring a team
• Strong understanding of Containerchain, TMS, and Quarantine systems 
• Robust CoR and fleet management knowledge and experience 
• Exposure to KPI's and tangible targets
